An American Tradition:
achitophel: trolling England in the World Cup.  Okay, so twice doesn’t really make a tradition, but it’s still true that both times we’ve faced England in a World Cup, we’ve eked out unexpected results.  In 1950 we actually beat them in the group stage, thanks to a goal by Joe Gaetjens. LOVE that 1950 kit.
